This promotional design series was created for an Independent Design Studio course, with the objective of developing cohesive marketing materials for a fictional concert headlined by the indie electronic band Empire of the Sun. The set includes a full-size poster, a flyer, and two Instagram-optimized social media graphics.
The primary visuals, used across the poster, flyer, and one of the social media posts, feature a striking silhouette of the band’s frontman set against an electrifying purple background, paired with bold typography for maximum legibility and impact. The alternate social media design incorporates a lit photograph of the frontman, framed by intricate patterned borders that reflect the ornate interior of the Uptown Theater in Kansas City, tying the visuals to the venue and elevating the overall aesthetic.
